Check-ups & Cleaning
Regular check-ups and cleaning are an important part of oral hygiene for adults and children alike. They are vital for patient education, a healthy smile and an early diagnosis of dental disease. A routine dental cleaning should be performed every six months and includes a personal dental health evaluation and recommendations, scaling to remove plaque and tartar, teeth polishing, and periodontal charting. A routine check-up is often the most important visit a person ever makes to the dentist!

Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry refers to the restoration of natural teeth that have been damaged or decayed due to natural occurrence, accidents or neglect. After our team has evaluated your dental health, Dr. John or Dr. Elise will be ready to provide your diagnosis and treatment options. Filling cavities with a tooth-colored composite is the most common type of restorative dentistry performed in our office. More serious matters often require root canals, crowns or bridges, which all help to restore the damaged tooth to its original form and function.

Conscious Sedation
Conscious Sedation is a technique often used at Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to help patients cope with dental fears and anxiety. This type of sedation uses pain relievers and sedatives to induce an altered state of consciousness that minimizes discomfort. Patients who receive conscious sedation typically remain alert throughout the procedure, able to communicate any discomfort to Dr. John or Dr. Elise.
