Herschend Family Entertainment is the operating partner for Dolly Parton in her Dollywood Company, which owns the Dollywood theme park and Dollywood's Splash Country water park, both in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Additionally, the Dollywood Company is a partner in the Dixie Stampede dinner attractions located in Branson, MO and Pigeon Forge, TN; and Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, SC.

ABOUT DOLLYWOOD
Since 1986, visitors from around the world have become well acquainted with the Dollywood name and experience. However, the entertainment park actually traces its roots back to 1961 when Rebel Railroad first opened on the site that, over time, has expanded and grown into Dollywood.

Dolly's Story
Born January 19, 1946, in tiny Locust Ridge, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains, little Dolly Rebecca Parton had big dreams. The fourth of 12 children born to Robert Lee and Avie Lee Parton, Dolly began writing songs when she was just a little girl. By the age of nine, she had appeared on WSEV radio in Sevierville, Tenn. By age 10, she was a regular on nearby Knoxville television's "Cas Walker Show."
